

He was born in Sulina, Romania on September 10, 1936 to Antony Efstathios Maroulis and Calliope Maroulis. He was married to Ourania (Nina) Maroulis for 58 years. Efstathios was an amazing husband, father and restaurateur.
His first restaurant was My Three Sons where he served warm meals to the Heights community and later he established a successful deli called Nibbles Deli. He was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and had a passion to help others, to be united in family and to be faithful Orthodox Christians.
He was preceded in death by his father Antony, mother Calliope, uncles Lazaros and George Calligas, and aunt Catherine.
He is survived by his beautiful wife Ourania (Nina) Maroulis; sons Anthony, John and Gary; daughters-in-law Tish, Jennifer and Deborah; grandkids, Calliope, Lainie, Alexander, Melanie, Andrew, Mathew and Megan; and his loving Godson Kostas Romo.
A visitation for Efstathios will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at St. Basil the Great Greek Orthodox Church, located at 1100 Eldridge Pkwy, Houston, TX 77077. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. A committal service will follow the funeral on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, located at 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077.
