It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eileen Tessitore, a loving mother & grandmother, a loyal and dedicated friend, and remarkable woman. Eileens's courageous battle with cancer came to an end on January 3, 2025. She was 87 years old.

Eileen was born on April 14, 1937, to parents Arnold J. & Ermaline Capellamn, in Tarentum, Pennsylvania. After the loss of her mother, she was loved and cared for by her stepmother Evelyn Smith Capellman.

In 1960 Eileen Married the love of her Life, Joseph Tessitore. They spent 35 wonderful years married before Joseph was called to heaven, and together they had 3 beautiful children, Joe, Karen and Michael.

For 25 Years, Eileen dedicated her life to the education department at Moore Elementary School. There she worked with Special Education students as a Paraprofessional, specializing particularly in working with students with Autism. Eileen was fondly referred to as “Mrs. T” by all her students. Some of her favorite stories to share with her friends and family were always her students. Outside of teaching, Eileen enjoyed Reading novels, playing card games with friends, and traveling.

Eileen is Survived by her daughter, Karen Babb. Her sons, Joseph Tessitore & Michael Tessitore. Daughter-In-Law Starla Tessitore. Her Grandchildren, Angela Morgan, Alison Seely and Brandon Babb. Her dearest friend of 65 years Helen Danish

Eileens memory will be forever cherished by her family, friends, and colleagues. Her legacy as a mother, educator, and friend will endure, and her spirit will continue to inspire us all. In our hearts, she lives on, and we will forever honor the legacy of a remarkable woman who made a lasting impact on the world.

The family kindly requests donations be made to Autism Society of America, a cause close to Eileen's heart.
