Eldon “Lee” Smith was called back into the loving embrace of his Lord in Heaven on the 1st dawn of the New Year, surrounded by family and peacefully in his slumber. From his youth up until the day of his passing, Eldon was a hardworking man and loving father with all the wisdom his 90 years of life had granted him. Yet he never lost his adolescent and innocent wonder for his favorite subject; Aeronautics and World War Two History. He was blessed enough to have not only witnessed the birth of 7 Grandchildren, but also 8 Great Grandchildren. He always made it a point to attend every birthday, wedding, and holiday with a smile on his face: a true patriarch of his every growing family.
Along with these 15 fortunate individuals; he is also survived by his three daughters: Teresa Arriazola, Margie Tederman, and Gwendolyn Walden as well as his sister and niece Jackie and Marie Buffington. We also are happy to know that Eldon is now back in the care of his late wife Terah Smith; whom has been waiting for him for 26 years so that they may finally dance to their favorite country music together again.
Though gone with us physically, he will continue to live in our hearts and our spirits. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you please donate to the Alzheimer’s Association to honor the memory of Lee.
