

Elenor Elizabeth Solomon Boatman passed away quietly and peacefully the morning of Friday, June 17, 2016 in Houston, TX. She was born March 6, 1922 in Nacogdoches, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband Jessie Lee Boatman, her parents Benjamin & Sara Ilena Solomon, 6 siblings, and 1 grandson, Damon Boatman. She is survived by her children Gwendolyn Thomasson, Charles Lee Boatman, Virginia “Jeannie” Hattenbach and Elaine Boatman. Her grandchildren Annette Means (Richard), Bruce Thomasson (Kim), Tonya Steagall (Jimmy) & Jeffrey Hattenbach (Melanie). She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren; David Polnick Jr. (Veronica), Christopher Polnick (April), Jessica Polnick, Brandy Steagall, Jacob Thomasson, and Jeri Steagall, and 4 great-great grandchildren: Aidan Dricker, David Polnick III, Kamryn and Kinsley Polnick.
She worked as a seamstress and alterationist for Palais Royal for 2 years and Kaplan Ben-Hur for18 years. She had a loyal following throughout her career both locally and out of state and made many friends over the years.
Family and friends are invited to visitation Tuesday, June 21st from 5-8pm at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Frwy, Houston, TX 77039. Burial service will be held on Wednesday, June 22 at 1:00pm at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, 4922 FM 2864, Nacogdoches, TX 75965.
