Elinora Oliver

Age 84, resident of Richmond, TX, entered into her eternal rest on September 27, 2021. Elinora is survived by her two sons, Chris Oliver and Jeff Oliver, their wives Jill and Patricia, the father of her children, Bruce Oliver, her sister Meg Luther, and her precious grandchildren Henry, Charlie, Ivy from her son Chris and daughter-in-law Jill, and grandchildren Ava, Colton and Gracelyn from her son Jeff and Patricia and their mother Elisa. Elinora is preceded in death by her parents Estanislado and Adelfita Otero, stepmother Anita Otero, sisters Rosie Otero, Luggie Walker, Julia Perea, Mary Jane Martin, brother Edgar Otero, and her son Andrew who passed away as a very young child. She grew up in Las Lunas, New Mexico where she started her career with the Federal Government working at Rocky Flatts. She moved to Denver and eventually found her way to Dallas Texas, Tucson Arizona, Washington DC, Round Rock Texas and then Houston Texas where she spent the remainder of life close to her sons and their families and eventually retired as a Federal employee.

Elinora was a faithful woman and loving mother and grandmother. Her first love was that of her Father in Heaven. She answered the call to follow Jesus at the tender age of ten years old and was a faithful servant who, patiently endured through many of life’s joys and heartaches being true to the very end. All who knew Elinora will remember her by her joy to serve others and her sweet and kind spirit she showed to all. She was a help and example to many. She was a simple woman who did her best and trusted in God and His mercy and care. Evident to all, He held her hand and cared for her to the very end.

Verse: Psalms 34:17-20

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.”
