Elisabeth C. Larson

Elisabeth Campbell Larson passed away Sunday, January 30, 2011 in Houston, Texas. She was born September 30, 1929 in Jacksonville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Berneil M. Larson; parents Vernon E. Campbell, Sr. and Ruby S. Campbell; and brother Vernon E. Campbell, Jr. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Elisabeth and Michael Amburn of Houston, Texas;grandson Grant Amburn of Houston; her granddaughter and husband Ashley and Brett Shanks, her great granddaughter Elisabeth Shanks and great grandson William Shanks of Austin, Texas.

Elisabeth graduated from Lutcher Stark High School in Orange, Texas and attended Texas Women’s College and the University of Houston. She was a Girl Scout leader, a Mother Advisor of Rainbow Girls, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, and served as President of the Spring Branch Medical Center Volunteer Auxiliary.

The family extends sincere appreciation to the staff at Treemont for all the thoughtful attention she received.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. in the afternoon on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) or a charity of your choice.
