Elizabeth Ann “Becky” Blair, 83, of Spring, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025 surrounded by her loving sons. She was born in Houston, Texas on April 1, 1942 to Theodore and Goldie Edmiston.
Becky met the love of her life, Richard Blair, in Houston, and they were married on August 4, 1961. Together, they built a home in Spring, Texas, where they spent their lives raising their two sons, creating a warm, welcoming place for generations of loved ones.
A proud homemaker, Becky also held various jobs later in life, but her true joy came from caring for her family and making her home a gathering place. She had a passion for decorating and hosted countless family celebrations, with themed decorations for every holiday—especially Christmas. Her home would transform into a winter wonderland each year, complete with a Christmas tree for each of her four grandchildren, adorned with personalized ornaments she lovingly made for them annually.
Her life was also enriched by a close circle of lifelong friends whom she cherished dearly. From all of the quilts that were sewn together to the annual trips to Canton, TX for 'antiquing', she built deep, lasting friendships rooted in laughter, trust and loyalty.
Becky’s generosity, kind heart, free spirit, and sense of humor were immediately evident to everyone she met. Her warm, infectious personality brought joy to all who knew her—she had a way of making people laugh within moments of meeting her.
Her deep faith sustained her throughout her life and brings comfort to those she leaves behind, knowing she is now reunited in heaven with her beloved Richard, whom she deeply missed for the past 23 years.
Becky was preceded in death by her husband Richard Blair, her parents Theodore and Goldie Edmiston, her sister Theda Edmiston, and her grandson Jackson Blair.
She is survived by her sons Gary Blair (with Shannon Stedman) and Glen Blair (with Connie Borkland), and her grandchildren Bailey, Sadie, Mitchell, and Grant Blair, who she adored. She is also survived by her sister Gwynedd Atkins and her niece Jonna Jeter.
Becky’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 2:30PM at Brookside Funeral Home, located at 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. Visitation will begin at 1:30PM followed by the Memorial Services at 2:30PM. All are welcome to join the family at the graveside immediately after for final prayers.
Her love, laughter, and legacy will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
