

Elizabeth Ann Lavish, 91 peacefully went to be with the Lord August 18, 2013. She was born July 29, 1922 in Blairsville, PA to Harry and Alice Seville. She resided in Houston for 46 years and recently lived in Greatwood Retirement in Sugarland.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Harry and son Dennis.
Elizabeth is survived by daughter, Alice Dawson and husband Scott of Richmond, Texas; grandchildren, Kyle Dawson and wife Leigh Ann, Elizabeth Elliott and husband Thomas; four great-grandchildren, Dawson, Allison, Shelby and Will; Daughter-in-law, Barbara Lavish of Anchorage, Alaska, and sister-in-law, Margaret Rhodes of Georgia.
Elizabeth enjoyed being with family and friends, her church and home. She enjoyed playing the organ, piano and gardening.
She was the founder and directress for over 20 years of Christ Memorial Lutheran Preschool and Kindergarten Learning Center. She organized the Memorial Administrators of Preschools in the Houston area. She was a member of Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, Nottingham Forest Women’s Club, Money Makers’ Investment Club and Attended Texas Eastern Retirees’ Club.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Greatwood Retirement for their loving care and for making her last year a welcomed experience.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 3-5 pm at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston TX 77079.
A Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday August 22, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, 14200 Memorial DR Houston, TX 77079
