

Elizabeth Connelly McGreevy, passed away in her sleep late Sunday evening the 22nd of June 2025, at her home in Houston. She was 90 years of age. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terrence G. McGreevy, who died in 2004.
Beth, as she was known by friends and family, was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on the 12th of August 1934. She was the third of six children born to Donald Leo Connelly (1898-1988), and Martha Hoenig Connelly (1908 -1970). Beth was preceded in death by her parents and her five siblings, Thomas Connelly, Reverend Larry Connelly, David Anthony Connelly, Susan Connelly, and Michael Connelly. Her father “D.L.” Connelly, moved the family to Houston in 1941. Beth attended and graduated from St. Anne Catholic School, The Kinkaid School and Maryville College of the Sacred Heart in St. Louis, Missouri. At each of her schools, she made lifelong and meaningful friendships. She attended Camp Waldemar, where she was a Comanche, and made lifelong friends.
In 1958, Beth married Terrence G. McGreevy, who had been a pilot in the U.S. Air Force stationed at Ellington Air Force Base. After Terry left the Air Force, they moved to Austin where Terry finished law school. After starting their life in Houston, Beth and Terry moved to Chicago for a few years, before returning to Houston to raise a grateful family of five children, all of whom survive her: Terrence G. McGreevy, Jr. (Gerry, spouse Patricia), Elizabeth McGreevy Seiler, Martha McGreevy Charbonnet (spouse John), Connelly Thomas McGreevy (spouse Jackie) and Daniel Michael McGreevy; and her beloved grandchildren: John Taylor Charbonnet, Christian McGreevy Charbonnet, Elizabeth Anne Charbonnet, Terrence Denechaud Charbonnet, Nathaniel Robert Seiler, Molly Catherine McGreevy, John Terrence McGreevy, Thomas Connelly McGreevy and Matthew William McGreevy.
Beth and Terry devoted their lives to the Roman Catholic Church and actively supported numerous Catholic institutions and causes. Beth was a member of the Junior League of Houston, and a member of Houston Country Club. Beth was also an avid sports fan (and long-time season ticket holder) of the Houston Oilers, Houston Texans, and Houston Astros. After Terry’s passing, Beth continued to devote her time and love to her family and grandchildren, spending time with her friends, traveling the world and playing bridge.
Beth’s family wishes to express their deep appreciation to her loyal and devoted caretakers: LaDonna Williams, Amie Robinson, Laura Rivers, Beverly Calhoun, and Sharon McPherson Moore.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 28th of June, in the Welcome Center located at the entrance to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road in Houston.
A Mass of Christian Burial is to be offered following the visitation, at three o’clock in the afternoon.
The Rite of Committal will follow, via an escorted cortege, at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be her grandsons: Taylor Charbonnet, Christian Charbonnet, Terren Charbonnet, Nathan Seiler, Jack McGreevy, Tommy McGreevy, and Matthew McGreevy.
