

Elmyra was born to the late William Valentine Kiihnl and Edna Johnson Kiihnl in Enid, Mississippi on September 14, 1924. She was one of eight children.
Elmyra was married to Jack Hodge Eaton, Jr., for 71 years. She will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Elmyra loved raising her four children. She was always involved in their many activities which included band, scouts, and sports. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed having them over to swim at the house.
Elmyra enjoyed watching and playing golf throughout her lifetime. She was a very good cook with two particular family favorites, spaghetti and her Thanksgiving stuffing.
Elmyra loved the Lord and prayed without ceasing.
Those left behind to cherish Elmyra's memory include her daughter Elizabeth House and her husband Doug, son Steve Eaton and his wife Lori, brother James H. Kiihnl, sister Evelyn K. James, son-in-law Bill Muszynski, grandchildren Chad Muszynski and his wife Raquel, Mike Muszynski, Taylor Eaton, Mason Eaton, Spencer Eaton, and great-grandchild Nathan Muszynski.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Hodge Eaton, Jr., son James Michael Eaton, daughter Donna Gail Muszynski, sister Bertha Kiihnl Wrenn, sister Inez Kiihnl Kirchner, brother Charles William Kiihnl, brother David Lee Kiihnl, and brother Herman Williard Kiihnl.
The visitation will be held at 9:00am on Thursday, August 26, 2021, Memorial Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery located at 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079. Burial 11:00am at the Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038.
