Joe was one of the nicest people you ever met. He was a Christian and a righteous man who led by example and walked by faith. He was a very hard working man and every time me or one of my children got in a bind and needed him he was always a phone call away. Most of the time when he did something for me and I tried to pay him he didn't want to take the money, I would have to make him take it; " I would say to him I don't want to block my blessings". I considered him and Ms. Ivy family since we have been knowing him and Ms. Ivy since my son was 10 weeks old. Ms. Ivy I know your heart is heavy and we share your pain and grief with the loss of your dear sweet husband. We will be praying for you and the rest of the family. Just know that God will comfort you during this very difficult time. May God continue to bless you and your family and strengthen you all.

We knew him as Joe, he was such a kind man and my grandson Trip (Brody) loved him so much! He did some things for us at the house and my mom loved him, we all did. He made an impact and difference with everyone he met! I know he will be greatly missed! Our thoughts and prayers are with all of his loved ones.

Love & prayers,
Cathy and family

I came to Bethesda when I was a child. Everyone at that church will forever have a special place in my heart because they helped mold me into the adult that I am today. Joe Kemp was a committed choir member. He would sing and rock so smoothly. Always dressed in his Sunday’s best (of course matching Ivy in all her beauty). So I can see him now, singing and rocking so smoothly in the Heavenly choir! With a smile from ear to ear. And that image helps to make this a joyous occasion! Family stay encouraged. Forever grateful for this family!
