He was born in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas Mexico on July 8th, 1964 to parents Antonio Mendoza and Ramona Lopez- Portillo.He met his spouse, Maria Mendoza, married on June 13 1987. They later renewed their vows for the 25th anniversary September 2019. He worked and had a career in Construction and owned Mendoza painting. He was a member of the Neocatechumenal Way for 8 years. He had a passion for fishing and doing outdoor activities.
Emilio is survived by his wife Maria Mendoza; son Emilio Mendoza Jr; his son Ivan Mendoza; his son Alberto Mendoza; his daughter Emily Mendoza; his daughter in law Ashley Rodriguez; his daughter in law Claudia Rodriguez; and his son in law Martin Salazar; his sister Rosa Mendoza, his sister Martha Mendoza, his sister Eva Lopez and his sister Virginia Lopez; his grandaughter Sophia Mendoza, his grandaughter Alina Mendoza and his grandaughter Ava Mendoza.
Emilio was preceded in death by his Father Antonio Mendoza and his mother Ramona Lopez; his brother Antonio Mendoza and his sister Maria Guadalupe Castillo.

A visitation for Emilio will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 25, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A graveside service will occur Friday, October 25, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
Serving as pallbearers are Emilio Mendoza and Ivan Mendoza.
