

Emma attended public school in San Antonio. She graduated from Wheatley High School. She then attended St. Phillips College and graduated with an Associates Degree in Business Administration.
Emma was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She recently was striving hard admist a terminal illness, and with the support of her family to express her love of Jehovah.
Emma was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for over 20 years.
She moved from San Antonio to South Carolina where she met her closest and dearest friend, Marilyn Miller, with whom she kept in close contact with throughout the years.
Emma moved to Anchorage, Alaska where she was employed by the United States Customs as an officer for 28 years. She transfered to Houston, Texas, where she met the love of her life and husband of 18 years, Jerome McDonald.
Emma later retired from U.S. Customs in December of 2009.
Emma Jean will be missed by a host of family and friends.
She found great joy in her family and devoted husband of 18 years, Jerome McDonald. She also enjoyed sewing, bowling, playing cards, and sharing her faith with her family when given the opportunity.
Emma Jean was preceded in death by her son: Cary Spencer; cousin: Levy Garret; mother: Marcella Smith; father: Elbert Travis; and grandmother: Alice Williams. She is survived by her cherished daughter: Trina Spencer Frank of San Antonio; son-in-law: Eugene Frank of San Antonio; granddaughter: Alexandria Frank of San Antonio; aunt: Viola Fields and husband Cleo; aunt: Dorothy of California; great grandson: Trevon Frank; raised as a daughter: Mary Alice Morris; great grandchildren: Aaliyah and Adrian; three sisters: Valerie Ezell, Kathy Franklin and husband Sil, & Diane Morris; five brothers: Anthony Travis, Phillip Morris, Johnny Morris, Wendell Morris, and James Morris - all of San Antonio; great niece: LaTonya Morris; great nephew Clenten Morris; two great nieces: Lois Jones and DaShell Silverand; mother-in-law: Mr. Celestine; and father-in-law: Edward Lee McDonald. Plus a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
