

She was born Emma Del Carmen Ruiz in Arramberri, Nevo Leon, Mexico on September 11, 1935 to Adeliada Villanueva de Ruiz and Daniel Ruiz Pena. She was the youngest child from a large family of 11. She had 5 brothers, and 5 sisters. One of her sisters died at birth. Emma was raised in Arramberri, Nuevo Leon and as a young child, she moved to Monterrey, NL. She met the love of her life at work at Industria Monterrey in 1950. She married Arturo Luis Montemayor on December 31, 1955 in a double wedding they shared with her sister, Rosaura Martinez and her husband Pedro Martinez. They celebrated their honeymoon in Guadalajara, Jal. She settled in Elgin, Texas with her husband Arturo, Sr. where she gave birth to her four sons, Arthur, Jr., Frank, Oscar and Ricardo. After ten years they moved to Houston, Texas where they resided and raised their family in the Denver Harbor community, where they built life-long relationships with family, friends and neighbors. Emma was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, sister, aunt and neighbor. She leaves behind her sister, Rosaura Martinez. She is survived by her sons, Arturo L. Montemayor, Jr. and his wife, Alicia R., Francisco Montemayor and his wife Bonnie, Ricardo Montemayor and his wife Gloria. Her grandchildren are Jennifer Alcorta, Shawn Montemayor, Roxanne Montemayor, Justin Montemayor and Alyssa Montemayor. She has five great-grand children, Issac, Surreal, Makayla, Raul and Micah. Emma was loved deeply by her many nieces, nephews and extended family members from across Texas and Mexico. She is remembered as a as a woman of faith who loved God. A caring person who cherished serving her family, and who was very easy to love.

Sus nietos son Jennifer Alcorta, Shawn Montemayor, Roxanne Montemayor, Justin Montemayor y Alyssa Montemayor. Tiene cinco bisnietos, Isaac, Sureal, Makayla, Raul y Micah.
