

Emmy Harvey Rausheck, treasured wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many, passed away Sunday morning, February 17th, 2013 in Katy, Texas. She was born in Seadrift, Texas on March 8, 1926 to Rowland and Grace Harvey, and was a proud sister to brothers Rowland Jr. and Tommy. She married Fred O. Rausheck, Jr. on July 4th, 1945, and the fireworks have continued for the last 67 years. She was a loving and devoted mother to their three children, Sharon, Fred, and Bobby, and a cherished grandmother to her 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was a long time member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Katy, Texas before her health made it difficult for her to attend. She enjoyed many hobbies which kept her young at heart, including tap and jazz dancing, gardening, and art. Her great love of children led her to volunteer as “Candy the Clown” for sick children at Texas Children’s Hospital, where she brightened and touched the hearts and lives of many. Whether it was her Donald Duck impression to a child, or showing her Pride and Joy to a stranger, she loved to make people laugh and always had a smile to share. Emmy will be greatly missed and forever loved.
