Our time in Garner held our saddest day					 

For they were among our happiest days					 

Tubing the river our happiest days						 

Your breathing next to me night’s only sound				 

And outside muffled hooves the only sound				 

Your wonderful family happy for us						 

Your wonderful family worried for us					 

Masked by laughter rippling or’ the river 					 

Til time came to leave you and the river					 

Passed the park gates home two thousand miles more			 

Your west bound flight several thousand miles more		 

We all understood what deployment meant 			 

To Germany was what deployment meant				 

Time in Garner held not my saddest day

Your face in the bright of a Jonquil day.  

Its smile promising affection, security, hope.  

Brought forth the Lilacs’ blossoming of my soul.  

The joyous emergence of our true selves 

Blooming as the Trailing Arbutus  

In the early spring of our youth 

 

Beneath a Blue Bell sky constancy grew 

Gratitude, hope, and optimism; 

The spire of blossoms promise of love 

The fidelity of the Ivy Leaf for eternity.  

Combined with the gentle strength of the Lady Slipper.  

Reaching towards the sun.  

 

But it's the Thistle’s thorns that reminds us 

Where there is beauty there is pain.  

So, Aphrodite’s sacred Rosemary I bring 

A remembrance gently placed 

Alongside Forget-Me-Nots 

Of everlasting love and remembrance.   

 

Their cluster of blue a reminder 

To cherish the memories shared

Thank you for sharing your life through the loving members of your family.

Thank you for being such a kind and loving grandpa.  I will miss giving you "high-fives". We all love and miss you!

May the family of Enrique have the peace of mind that comes from God knowing that their beloved one is resting in peace.  eccl. 9:5.

Grandpa Ricky-
No matter the years that separated us, no amount of time of absence will separate you from my mind and heart. Forever will you have health and live as ever prosperous in the childhood memories of mine that we share. May my father and sister enjoy you in heaven as we did on earth.
