Yvette my condolences for your loss. I recently found out. I know it's been a couple of years now and I'm not trying to add to your grief.  I just wanted to pay my respects to you and Ricky.  Even though we all lost touch of one another through out the years. I just want to say he was a stand up guy. I know he really cared and loved you very dearly. I remember when he would visit me and always asked who you were.  I told him I knew you and he told me not to play with him about that. And he finally got to me you and it was the beginning of you and him.  May God bless you and the life you both created.

I didn't get to know Rick as well as I would have liked to, as I worked on Thursdays when he usually wasn't there. I'm grateful for the times I got to know him and speak with him, and I'm thankful for the opportunity that he and his business partner, Chris Macha, gave me to work at EPO. Rick cared about his employees and customers and provided great balance as a co-owner of the store. I remember Chris telling me that Rick wanted to have a contraption made from mannequin parts (similar to the machines in Herbie Hancock's music video for "Rockit") made for the store to draw in more traffic. If I ever get the opportunity, I'd love to help put something like this together for him.

I only knew Rick for a short time, but I was very thankful that he and Chris provided me an opportunity to work in their store.

All my condolences to the family i love u Rick and Evette. You will always be in my heart <3.

I worked at EPO for about 6 (7?) years all together. It was my first job. It was my 4th job. Both times, Rick was incredibly warm and kind to me; giving me a lot of learning and training. Without him I would never have gone as far as I have in my life. I was genuinely shocked when I heard the news, and I'm devastated. I was planning to go see him at the store and, you know, check up on how it was going. EPO is special to me, and I will always cherish my times there. He was a good *friend*, too. A good person. He did me and my husband a lot of good favors that he never expected to be repaid for, and it saddens me that I never will get the chance to do so.

I dealt with Rick many many times at EPO since 2006. Always in a good mood, always took time to help with my needs, and as time passed, the guys at EPO, especially Rick and Chris, made me feel welcome and more than just a customer. His passing shocked me as he was always so full of life and so generous and giving with his time even though always busy. Going to be hard going into EPO and not seeing his smiling face. He will be missed. Rest In Peace, Rick. One of the good guys.

Dear Dad,

I can remember like yesterday when Yvette and Ricky met. I was so happy for both of them but even happier because it felt like I gained a brother. I use to see Ricky everyday. I’d ride the bus to the Galleria and wait for him, almost daily so we could go play basketball. Little did he know, I just wanted to be around him. I was such a nuisance to their relationship. In my young mind I thought, Yvette and I were fighting to spend time with him. But everyone had no doubt how much I loved him and looked up to him. We spent so very much time together. Even sharing bunk beds when he’d sleep over. So many conversations and experiences we shared. Once Yvette and Ricky got married I knew I needed to get out of their way and let them live their lives. It hurt so much but I knew it was the right thing to do. Ricky and I definitely stayed in touch over the years and we’d talk quite often. I have wonderful memories of him.  To Yvette and the kids I know that he’d want you to be strong and not grieve too much for him. He’d feel bad for causing pain to your hearts. So even though it may seem difficult, remember great things and be strong for each other. I’m so very sorry for your loss. Ricky was a great husband, father, and friend. Especially to me. Thoughts and prayers.

For many years I looked forward to being greeted by Rick when I went to EPO.  He always had a friendly smile and kind words and helped me find whatever I was looking for.  I wish I had some photos to share, but the only ones I have are in my memory where they will stay.  I will greatly miss being able to visit with him.

I miss you already brother.  These 28 years of friendship have been the greatest, we laughed out loud so many times and never a dull moment with you.  You are not just a friend to me you are a brother and will always will be.  You gave me advise when I needed it the most, and never held back to te let me know when I screwed things up (plenty of times). 

You taught  me how to be a great leader by example. You took me under your wing when i started at EPO in 94.  I knew nothing about electronics and you showed me so much, thanks to your patience and teaching i am where i am now.  I remember i bombarded you with questions on a daily basis yet you were patient to explain things to me so that i would learn .  

I am glad to have been able to tell you how much i Love you bro, and how much you mean to me.  You physically May be gone but you will still be here , inside every single one of your boys and in all our hearts.  I know we will see each other again. 
Till then, Rest easy and fly high brother.

One of my favorite memories, or rather, favorite things about Rick is that he would always let me know when he thought I had done a good job on something. I can’t express just how much that meant to me, it always made me want to keep doing my best on whatever task was at hand. It isn’t so much about the good memories themselves, but more so the fact that I can’t think of any bad ones. I could never find one thing that would make someone dislike him. Rick was an incredibly patient, hardworking, and selfless man I was proud to work for. As I reflect on the years I knew him, I’m remembered of nothing but his kindness.

Words can't describe the pain we are feeling during this difficult time. I'm just so grateful for all the beautiful moments we shared and will always cherish the amazing memories we had together. You were the best DAD to me, by my side since I was a baby all the way through adulthood and motherhood. You were such a loving and caring Grandpa to baby Celeste, which she will grow up seeing through all the pictures and videos you had with her. You taught me so much, your kindness, strong work ethic and prioritizing family time is something we will always strive for. I love you with all my heart and your memory will live on forever...........No hay manera de describir el dolor por el que estamos pasando. Doy gracias por todos los hermosos momentos que compartimos juntos. Fuiste el mejor padre, a mi lado desde pequeñita hasta convertirme en madre. El mejor abuelito hacia Celeste, llenandola de mucho amor lo cual ella vera en todas las fotos y videos que compartieron. Aprendi mucho de ti, la gran persona que eras con todos los que te rodeaban, tu gran etica de trabajo y siempre dandole prioridad al tiempo con la familia. It takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them,
And a day to make them a friend. But it takes an entire life time to forget them. Enrique was an amazing person and will be greatly missed by all.

My nino was one of a kind. So full of love.  Always smiling and making his cheesy jokes. That smile with that dimple always got you.  Always gave the best hugs and the best words of advice.  We are truly going to miss you. Nino I love you so much.  You will  forever live in our hearts.
