Erica Michelle Moore Wehmeyer, 40 years old, peacefully joined her Lord Jesus Christ on October 21, 2024 after a 6-year battle with Leukemia. Erica, born September 10, 1984, lived in Henderson, Texas where she lived a life rooted in faith, love, and joy.

Erica graduated from Marshall High School in 2003. She later graduated from Tyler Junior College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science Addiction Counseling. She worked as the office manager for Management & Training Corporation of Henderson, Texas. She loved going on adventures, spending time with her family, and watching her son Tucker play baseball.

Erica is survived by her two children, Madison David and Tucker Wehmeyer. Her parents, Trudy and Pete Harris, and Mitch Moore. Her sister, Hayley Fitzgerald (spouse Brandon) and brother, Zach Harris (spouse Karley). Her maternal grandmother, Grace Rhyne. Her nieces and nephews, Mila and Jax Fitzgerald, and Beau and Charlie Harris. Also survived by her are numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Erica was predeceased by her grandparents, Edward Rhyne, and Don and Ercylene Moore. Her uncles, Randy Rhyne and Alan Moore.

Erica had a special place in her heart for the everlasting friendships she made with Michael Bell and Sonshine Lighthouse, The Sojourn House Ministry, and multiple churches in Henderson, TX where she established a strong community.

Erica radiated love and happiness with her contagious smile and heartfelt hugs. Her life was a testimony of strength and she impacted many lives throughout her journey. To know her was to love her and she will be missed deeply by all who knew her. Erica’s unconditional love for her family, friends, and unwavering devotion to God was her foundation in life.

Her family would like to express special thanks to the medical staff of MD Anderson, Floor 19, West wing where she spent the last 18 months in their care.
