Ernest Nelson Wheeler Sr.

Ernest enjoyed the outdoors (hunting, fishing, and camping), being a Boy Scout Leader, and playing “Santa” for his family, friends, and his community. Most of all he loved spending time with family.

Ernest is preceded in death by his parents Herman Edward Wheeler, Sr. and Dorothy May McCutchen; children David Allen Coffman, and Randi Sharlene (Wheeler) Hargroue; brothers Herman Edward Wheeler, Jr., Larry Wayne Wheeler, and George Lee Wheeler; sister Beatrice Rose Wheeler.

He is survived by his wife Vickie Lee (Coffman) Wheeler; eight children Richard Nelson Wheeler, Jeannette Jo (Wheeler) Glass, Jina Melissa Wheeler, Ernest Nelson Wheeler, Jr., Michael Lee Williams, John Edward Wheeler, Cayden Michael Wheeler and Alexis Renee Wheeler; sister Patricia Lynn (Wheeler) Young; and 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation with the family for Ernest will be held Monday, November 20, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024.
