Ernestine Boynton, 78, born January 25, 1933 in Melrose, Texas entered into eternal rest September 5, 2011 in Crosby, Texas. Ernestine moved to Houston at the age of 17 and began working at Humble Oil as a secretary. She met Roy Boynton and married him in 1953. She raised two wonderful daughters. Ernestine was a faithful member of Lake Houston Church of Christ and was a devoted Christian as well as a loving mother and wife. She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Roy L. Boynton; sister, Golda McDonough; brother, Bobby Belser. Left to cherish her memories: daughters: Judy Knobloch & husband Joe, Janet Thompson & husband Carroll; granddaughters: Lynda Bedwell & husband Brandon, Michelle Short, who lived with her and took care of her for 12 years; great grandchildren: Benjamin & Dagny Rose Bedwell. Visitation will be Thurs., Sept. 8th from 4-8PM. Funeral Services will be 12:30PM, Fri., Sept. 9th. Both services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
