Esteban Ortega Gomez

Esteban O. Gomez, 56, of Houston, Texas, passed away on June 23, 2026.

Born on September 2, 1969, in Michoacán, Mexico, Esteban lived a life centered on hard work, family, and the simple joys that brought him peace. He built a career in the automotive industry, where he worked for Fertitta Chevrolet and Norman Frede Chevrolet. He was known for his dedication, strong work ethic, and the relationships he built throughout his career.

Outside of work, Esteban found happiness in reading books, writing and enjoying poetry, listening to music, and spending time with those he loved most. Above all else, he cherished his children and family. His love, guidance, and quiet strength will remain a lasting source of comfort to all who knew him.

Esteban was preceded in death by his mother, Alvina Ortega.

He is lovingly remembered by his children, Esteban Gomez Jr., Maria Elena Gomez, and David Emanuel Gomez; his beloved grandson, Esteban Yadiel Gomez III; and his siblings, Agustin Gomez, Erasto Gomez, Conan Gomez, Minerva Gomez, Veronica Gomez, and Vianey Gomez de Garcia. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Esteban will be remembered for his caring heart, his love of literature and music, his devotion to his family, and the example of perseverance and dedication that he shared throughout his life. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

May he rest in eternal peace.

A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 2516 NAVIGATION BLVD, HOUSTON, TX 77003, US, on June 30, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Esteban resided in Houston, Texas.
