"Esther Monethal "Boots" Brown-Guthrie, 85, passed away on November 24, 2016. Esther was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on January 14, 1931 to Tump Benjamin and Lizzie Mae Stricklin. Esther moved to Bellaire, TX in the early 60's and raised a loving family of three children; Dwight Neal, Herbert Glen, Jr. and Gwendolyn Faye. She leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Esther was the owner of several beauty salons in Southwest Houston before her retirement to Calvert in 1980 and Lake Livingston in 2000. She was also a lifetime member of the Brazoria Eastern Star.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Houston Hospice or your favorite charity.
