Esther R. Munoz, 75, passed away on July 13, 2026. Born on February 20, 1951, in Houston, Texas, she was the eldest of nine children and grew up in north Houston, where her steady spirit and sense of responsibility were evident early on. While attending Jefferson Davis High School, Esther participated in volleyball and FFA, bringing the same commitment to her activities that would later define the way she cared for her family and approached her work. After graduating, she met Adam Munoz, and they were married on January 15, 1977. Adam preceded her in death.
Throughout her life, Esther built a career marked by diligence and perseverance, fulfilling many jobs and serving in roles with companies such as Inchcape Shipping, Mediterranean shipping company (MSC), Nordana Line, and P&O nedloyd. She eventually retired in her early 60’s as Senior Shipping Coordinator in Global Ocean Transportation, closing a chapter of work distinguished by reliability and dedication.
In retirement, Esther found joy in the everyday pleasures that made life feel full—visiting local casinos, shopping, and spending time with her neighbors, often sharing laughter and conversation during garage sales. At home, she took pride in gardening, and her affection for her pets and her plants reflected the gentle care she extended to the world around her.
Esther was a devoted mother to four children: Raymond, Michael, Theresa, and Andrew. She was also a loving grandmother to Mary Elizabeth, Angelica, Raymond Jr, Vincent, Amanda, Kaylie, Jacob, Corey, and Cecilia. Even while working hard, she remained present and supportive, helping with her grandchildren and offering guidance that shaped family decisions. Her faith was central to her life, and she encouraged those she loved to have Faith in god and learn to be more like jesus through prayers and Action.
The family extends sincere gratitude to the family, friends, and neighbors that helped in time of need.
