Esther Maass Schaefer

She is survived by her children, Eston Cobern (Christina), Edlyn Reneau and Michael Schaefer (Tina); her grandchildren, Kendra Reneau, Shelly Byland, Paul Byland (Amber), Lenzie Schaefer and Jacob Schaefer; her great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Erika Brandman, Jaxon Hadlock, Riley and Chloe Byland; and her brother, Walter Maass (Linda).

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Edwin M. Schaefer; her daughter, Elizabeth Byland; her brothers, Ernst Maass, Teddy Maass, and Buster Maass; and her sister, Katherine Bravenec.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 1:00 pm. A reception will be held immediately after the service. Interment will follow at Evangelical United Church of Christ Mound Prairie Cemetery, Snook, Texas at 5:00 pm.

Pallbearers are Steve Bravanec, Mark Draper, Fred Maass, Paul Maass, Walter Lynn Maass, Wayne Schneider and Glenn Edward Maass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Covenant Lutheran Church, 3785 Barker Cypress Road, Houston, Texas 77084.
