Eva O. Flores

She was born on August 14, 1934, in Edcouch, Texas, the seventh of 12 children. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernesto Ortega and Cayetana López, and nine of her siblings: Manuel Ortega, María Ortega, Ramiro Ortega, Josefina Treviño, José Ortega López, José Angel Ortega, Guadalupe Ortega, Noe Ortega, and Concepción Ortega de Mireles. She is survived by siblings Juan Ortega and Gloria Ortega López.

Eva married Reynaldo V. Flores on July 10, 1965, and had three children: Alma Flores, Imelda de la Guardia, and Reynaldo I. Flores. She had five grandchildren: Cristian Gunnels, Victoria Davis, Bianca Flores, Nicolas de la Guardia, Reynaldo E. Flores, and her great-granddaughters Isabella Tello and Daphne Davis.

Our mom was the most loving and loved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She devoted her life to her family. She was always there, from caring for her parents and helping them fix their home to generously sharing her blessings with her nieces and nephews. Her nurturing nature, bravery, creativity, and selflessness made her the hardest-working person in the family. She was a superhero in her strength and determination, never ceased giving her 100%, even till her death. She will be greatly missed and remembered. We adore you, Mom, and will forever carry you in our hearts. We will miss you!
