Evelyn was a devoted fan of Elvis Presley. While she loved all kinds of music, Elvis truly was “Her King”. All who knew her knew that there was not an Elvis quote, song lyric, or notable date that she could not recite to perfection. She displayed it with class and grace and never forgot the dear friend or loved one who was kind enough to present her with it.
Evelyn was known for her kindness. She donated to many charities but her preferred charity was the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). She was extremely vocal regarding the treatment of any and all animals as well as her stance on hunting.
While Evelyn was an extremely patriotic citizen of the United States and resident of Texas, she was still devoted and loyal to her homeland of England. No matter how many years passed, her love for England remained.
