Evelyn Pauline Svetlik

Evelyn was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-great grandmother, and sister. She worked as a waitress her whole life and was known for her strong work ethic, warm smile, and genuine kindness. Evelyn never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel like family.

Her favorite color was yellow, and her favorite flowers were bluebonnets and forget-me-nots. She had a deep love for her family, her faith, and her beloved dog, George. Evelyn was a woman of great faith whose life was defined by love, compassion, and service to others.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Patrick Thomason; her parents, Marion and Eunice Berry; her sister, Patricia Wiessinger; her brother, Marvin Berry; and her grandparents, Clarence and Lula Bertie Blanchard.

Evelyn is survived by her children, Rudy Svetlik III & wife Kimberly, Charles Svetlik, and Kendra Svetlik; her bonus sons, Clifton Svetlik & wife Lisa, and Justin Svetlik & wife Evelyn. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Tracy, Brandy & husband Ryan, Chase & wife Louise, Chad, Cody, Zachary, Hope, and Faith; her bonus grandchildren, Austin, Jacob, Andrew, Bryan, Dylan, and Nerissa; and her great-grandchildren; Wyatt, Kayanna, Luke, Dolton, Madison, Brooke, Zoye, Freya-May, Kaspian, Annastasia, and one more expected soon. She is also survived by her loyal dog, George, who brought her much joy.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in Brookside's Family Chapel. Evelyn will be laid to rest at Brookside Memorial Park.

Serving as pallbearers are Justin Svetlik, Clifton Svetlik, Cody Cloninger, Chad Svetlik, and Chase Svetlik.

Evelyn lived by the words of her favorite quote: "Our family may not have it all together... but together we have it all."

Her love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
