Born in Corpus Christi, Texas to Everett Wilson Howell and Freddie Oleta Thompson. He lived in Houston since 1975, was in the mortgage industry for over 25 years and was an owner-operator for 15 years in the trucking industry.
He was a member of Houston’s First Baptist Church for over 30 years where he was a member of Lamplighters Sunday School Class and a former teacher in the children’s department.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cil Howell, his son Mike of Fritch, Texas, his daughter Shelley of Houston and his grandsons Travis and Jake of Houston, Texas
A Memorial Service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 10:30 am at Houston’s First Baptist Church, 7401 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. A reception will follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Thru the Roof Ministry at Houston’s First Baptist Church, 7401 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024.
