

Fabern I. Cossey, 81 of Houston, Texas passed away on January 17, 2013. Born February 1, 1931 Fabern grew up in Damascus, Arkansas later moving to Knoxville,Tennessee where he graduated high school. He attended the University of Tennessee before enlisting in the US Navy. During his time in the service, he was the recepient of numerous medals with the highlight being an "around the world cruise" via the US's dime.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Cossey and his brother Ferrell Cossey and survived by wife Lillian Cossey, mother Daisy Cossey, daughter Cindy Collins and husband Nick of Burleson,Texas, son Dale and wife Sonya, of Houston, Texas and daughter Karen, also of Houston. Grandchildren Nicholas and Jennie of Burleson, and Courtney and Kirsten of Houston. He also leaves behind numerous relatives and friends who will miss him greatly.
A businessman for 40+ years in Houston he was known his entire life as a generous person who would help anyone in need; friend or stranger, it made no difference. In his later years he enjoyed spending time on his farm.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 20, from 5-8 p.m. at the Pat H. Foley Funeral Home 1200 W 34th Street. Funeral services will be Monday, January 21 at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
