Tina (Keller) Machac, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 5th. She was born in Kosciusko, Texas on February 26, 1930, the third of 11 children to Felix Keller and Albena (Skrobarczyk) Keller. Tina met her husband, Joe in 1947 and they married in 1949. They celebrated many milestones including raising four daughters, births of their grandchildren and great grandchildren. They loved to do many things together, including gardening, watching Wheel of Fortune and watching Mollie B Polka Party. Tina and Joe had a strong catholic faith and were founding members of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. In 1977, Tina and Joe bought a lot on Lake Livingston and built the lake house in 1978. In 1992, they made the move from Houston and made Lake Livingston their permanent residence. Tina and Joe were active members of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Livingston and were Eucharistic Ministers for many years. Tina was an excellent quilter and knew her way around the sewing machine. She made the bridesmaids dresses for almost all of her daughter’s weddings and made so many quilts that we have lost count. She enjoyed yard work and gardening. She was the one that taught her husband Joe all he knew when it came to taking care of their vegetable garden. Tina was never afraid to get a little dirty when working around the house or yard. She was well known for being able to clean and gut a fish better than anyone else. Tina was a devoted wife and is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Joe Machac. Tina was a great mother to her four daughters Joyce Kappe (Mike), Gladys Kelso (Les), Annette Lawrence (Jay) and Laurie Lenzen (Bob). Her pride and joy were her 9 grandchildren: Kristie Lane (Chris), Tracey Horelica (J.P.), Ashley Malcolm (Landon), Hollie Hall (Talor), Kevin Lawrence (Cortnie), Megan Burks (Zack), Trevor Lenzen, Colin Lenzen, and Brenton Lenzen and 14 great grandchildren: Logan, Austin, Josephine, Joseph, Blake, Nicholas, Tyler, Sammie, Kensley, Zane, Ellis, Ben, Graham and Delta. She is also survived by sisters Susie Duncan, Angela Machac, Virginia Skloss and Kathy Dillard. She will be dearly missed by a large extended family and many great friends. Services will be held at Forest Park Westheimer. Visitation from 2-5pm and Rosary at 4pm on Sunday February 14th. A Funeral service will be Monday, February 15th at 2pm.

Your Mom, our beloved Aunt Tina, was such a big part of my life having to go the the eye doctor in Houston every six months. I have a story I wanted you girls to know. In my teenage years, I sewed a quilt top using Mom's leftover fabric from the dress she made me. Anyway, your Mom, Grandma Keller, and my Mom sat around a wooden quilting frame and hand quilted it for me. Your Mom's name is sewn onto one of the corners of the quilt. Y'all have been on my mind so much this past year. I wish we didn't live so far apart. Sometimes you just need a big cousin hug. Sending prayers. Love, Julie
