Felix Martinez

Felix came to the U.S. when he was just 12 years old and made a life for himself, he was raised by a lady and three daughters. Trina owned a Bakery and that is where he learned the bakery business. Felix was a Baker for 80 years where he worked for Carver Food, Randalls and Sam’s. Felix married Apolonia G. Martinez on May 3, 1962. He loved fishing, camping, watching the Astros play and being with the grandkids and great-great grandkids.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Apolonia G. Martinez; daughter, Maria Martinez Shelton (Craig Shelton); son, Carlos Martinez (Christina Martinez), and son, Rene Martinez (Maricela Martinez); granddaughter, Yvonne N. Robles (Estevan Garcia); grandson, Anthony Jacob Martinez (Paula Saldana); grandson, Matthew Martinez (Angel Frias); granddaughter, Yvette Martinez (Ana Martinez); granddaughter, Danielle Martinez; great grandchildren, Breanna A. Garcia, Calista A. Garcia, Julian E. Garcia, Nathaniel L. Garcia, Nicholas K. Garcia; Wilfredo Salgado, Allison Salgado, Celeste Salgado, Mariah Salgado, Melanie Martinez, Carlos Jr. Martinez, Breanna Garcia (Jose Cuellar).

A visitation for Felix will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. The Funeral will begin at 11:00 AM with the burial to follow at 12:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park.
