On October 5, 1964, Fenton Renardo Conner, was born to the union of Louvenia Conner and the late Caris Conner of Chicago, Illinois. Fenton departed this life on January 18, 2019, at his residence in Katy, Texas.
He entered into the Christian faith at an early age acquiring an understanding and foundation of God’s direction for his life at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, in Chicago, Illinois. He continued to serve the Lord at Brookhollow Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.
Fenton was a graduate of Chicago Vocational High School (CVS), in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas as a Drafting/Technology Major. He was initiated into Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated in the spring of 1983. He later served as President of Delta Theta Chapter. Fenton was also a respected member of the Texas Southern Chicago Club.
The Love Story began when Fenton met and married Veronica Townsend and became a faithful and loving husband for thirteen years. The couple made their home in Katy, Texas.
Fenton was employed by BAE Systems, in 2007, in Sealy, Texas for three years as a Cab Engineer. He then was contracted overseas with BAE Systems in Kuwait to develop and train members of the Kuwait Military, building and restoring Armored Military Vehicles known as MRAPS and Military Trailers for two years.
Fenton was later employed with Textron in 2012 and was contracted in Afghanistan where he taught Afghan soldiers to build Armored Military Vehicles in 2015 became a Field Service Representative until 2017.
Fenton is survived by his wife, Veronica Conner; three sons, Bryce Conner, wife, Keisha of Pearland, Texas, Jeremiah Townsend, wife Te’Andra, and Christopher Townsend of Katy, Texas; two brothers, Karis “Ron” Conner, wife Odessa of Markham, Illinois and Byron Conner, wife Denise of Lansing, Illinois; six grandchildren; two nephews; four nieces; extended family and a host of fraternity brothers and friends.
A celebration of life service for Fenton will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 10:30 AM.
