She was born in Denver, Colorado, on January 24, 1956. Fern graduated from Arvada West High School and later earned a certificate in nutrition from the Montgomery County Community College in Texas.
She was married to Clarence “Chuck” Edward Rogers on August 6, 1977.
Fern worked in various positions throughout her life including food service manager for Humble I.S.D. but devoted her primary attention and energy to her work as a wife and mother. She was an active member of Morning Star Community Church and Kingwood Bible Church. Fern had a passion for loving her family, decorating for Christmas, being in the mountains, connecting with people, and sharing her faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Donald Ray Maire and Frances Hazel Maire, and her brothers: Donald Ray Maire, Jr., Francis Alan Maire, and Duane Leroy Maire. She was survived by her husband, Clarence Edward Rogers; her daughters: Nikki Dawn Bratton and Andrea Kay Renfrow; her grandchildren: Ashleigh Raine Corbett, Ethan Blaise Bratton, Alexandrea Reagan Bratton, Ian Xane Bratton, Evan Boice Bratton, Ayla Zepharyn Klemm, Alyssa Rielle Bratton, Isaiah Vos Bratton, and Cypress Ezekiel Renfrow. She was also survived by six siblings: Debra Lee Maire, Flora Brady Rohrs, Diana Jean Maire, Dortha Lynn Johnson, David George Maire, and Denise Marie Eberhart.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 5 PM to 8 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 10:30 AM in the Grand Chapel at Brookside, followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park.
