Fidel Patiño

Fidel Patiño Becerra, “Pa”, of Tototlan, Jalisco, Mexico. passed away on September 22, 2023 at the age of 68 after complications of a stroke while visiting friends and family in Mexico. He was born on November 7th, 1954 in Jalisco, Mexico to Maria Becerra and Jesus Patiño. Fidel married Antonia Gutierrez on June 2nd, 1977 and they soon made their way to Texas. They settled in Houston and had two daughters, Lorena in 1981 and Marlene in 1990. Fidel started as a painter but spent the majority of his life as a roofer. He worked his way up and became a foreman for Competition Roofing.

Fidel was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Becerra, his father Jesus Patiño, his brother Salvador Patiño, and another brother Ramon Patiño. He is survived by his wife, Antonia Patiño, his daughters Lorena Ellis and Marlene Jones, brothers Raul Patiño, Juan Patiño, Arnulfo Patiño and sisters Erminia Garcia, Maria Patiño, Herlinda Patiño, and Imelda Patiño. He is also survived by grandchildren; Linda Ledezma, Luis Ledezma, Pete Ledezma, Alexis Ledezma, Angelique Ledezma, Christopher Ledezma, Caden Ledezma, Nicholas Jones and Aaron Jones; great grandchildren Chloe Mitchell, Charles Mitchell, Kehlanie Mitchell, Catalina Ledezma and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Linda Ledezma, Charles Mitchell, Luis Ledezma, Alexis Ledezma, Angelique Ledezma, Christopher Ledezma, Nicholas Jones, and Aaron Jones. Honorary pallbearers are Raul Patiño and Arnulfo Patiño.

Visitation with the family will be at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home on Monday, October 2nd, 2023 from 5:00-8:00 pm. The funeral will be at Forest Park Westheimer Chapel on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023 at 10:00 am with the burial immediately following.
