

Fofo passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 11th. Her entire life was distinguished by her love for people, and a positive, bright and enthusiastic approach. She encouraged the goodness in her friends and relatives with a warm glow and a sweet heart.
Fofo grew up in Houston within the embrace of the Greek community, centered around the Greek Orthodox church. She was a lifelong member of various social clubs and Greek humanistic organizations. She also sang in the church choir. She attended Rice University and had many lifetime relationships from those days. One of those relationships was Ted Lewis who she met in the Rice library, and they were married in December 1955. She worked at St. John's School as a librarian for many years, including while her two sons attended school there. She and Ted retired to an active social life, as well as much international travel. They visited the world together, going to all continents except Antarctica.
Fofo has always been regarded as a generous and kind person. She brought out the best in whoever she met. She enjoyed life and will be widely missed.
Fofo was preceded in death by her huband Ted Lewis. She is survived by her two sons, Richard and Aki, and her two grandchildren, Carla and Christy.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family commencing at half-past nine o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 15th of June, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 3511 Yoakum Boulevard in Houston, where the funeral service is to commence at half-past ten o'clock in the morning, with Rev. Economos Demetrios Tagaropulos, Associate Priest officiating. Immediately following, all are invited to join the family for a Makaria Luncheon, to be held in the adjacent S.P. Martel Hall of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
The interment service will follow, via an escorted cortege, at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston, departing the Cathedral at one o'clock in the afternoon.
