Fong (Grace) Yuk To Ng

Grace Fong Yuk To Ng, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026, at the age of 88. She was born on June 19, 1938, in Canton, China, to Kwang Yen and Noy Hide Fong.

Grace spent her youth in China and Hong Kong before marrying her husband, Tommy Ng. Their introduction was made possible through her sister-in-law, who helped bring the two together. After their marriage, they came to Houston, where they built their life together and raised their three sons.

Grace worked alongside her husband in their family grocery business and also spent time working at a friend's sandwich and hamburger restaurant while raising their children. She was, above all, a devoted wife and mother who always wanted the best for her family.

She was a loving grandmother who enjoyed helping care for her grandchildren when they were young, especially while their parents were working. She treasured her family and the time they spent together.

As a young woman, Grace excelled in sports, particularly track and field and basketball. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling to Asia and California to visit family and friends in Los Angeles and San Francisco. She also loved playing mah jong with friends and relatives and watching football and basketball with her family.

Grace is survived by her three sons, Raymond and his wife, Linda; James and his wife, Liza; and Harry and his wife, Jodi; and her grandchildren, Michael, Samantha, Emily, Logan, and Carson. She was preceded in death by her siblings Fong Yuk Ying, Kay Shang Fong, Adam Fong and her beloved husband, Tommy Ng

Grace will be remembered for the love she gave to her family, her devotion as a mother and grandmother, and the many memories she created with those closest to her. Her family will carry her love and memory with them always.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Chinese Baptist Church, 900 Brogden Road, Houston, TX 77024, or to a charity of your choice.

The family will gather for a private interment.
