Fong (Alice) Tuey Ong was born October 2, 1926 in Canton, China and passed away in Houston, Texas on May 19, 2018. She was married to John Yung Ong on August 29, 1945 and their family grew with three children. In her younger years, Fong was a seamstress and then worked in her own grocery store as a cashier and buyer. Being able to read and speak English was important to Fong. Other than China, Fong resided in New York and then settled in Houston.
Left to cherish Fong’s memories are her sons; Robert and wife Vickie, Timmy and wife Linda, and daughter, Rose. Also four grandchildren; Julie and husband Jason Poon, Erika and husband Anthony Congiundi, Andrea and husband David Petty, and Derek and wife Lisa, three great grandchildren; Leo and Matthew Congiundi, and Darius Petty, and 1 brother and 2 sisters (older and younger).
She is preceded in death by her husband John Ong, 3 older brothers, and 1 younger brother.
Visitation will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home on May 25, 2018 from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock in the evening. The graveside service will be the following day at 11 o’clock in the morning with a reception afterward at Hibachi Grill.
Fong Tuey Ong was the most kindest, generous, and caring person with a large heart. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She always cared for everyone before herself and will be dearly missed.
