After marrying and moving to Jacinto City, Tx, Frances and Bill opened Bill Grottie Auto Sales, where she would be partner and bookkeeper for the next 29 years from 1956 to 1985.
Frances adored her family and was a loving Mom and Grandmother who always put her family first. Frances was a devout Christian and very spiritual. She also enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, word Search, TV Game shows, and keeping up with politics.
Children: Rita Grottie Parrish, Karen Grottie Hickman, and Billie Grottie Baker Grandchildren: Andrea Parrish McCall, Nicole Parrish Swint, Shane Hickman, Daniel Hickman, Michael Holcombe and Melanie Holcombe Jumper. Siblings: Eileen Sims Dearen, Hazel Sims Brast, and Floyd Sims , Many Nieces and Nephews, Great Grandchildren Dear Sons-in-Law: Mickey Hickman and Mitch Baker Frances was preceded in death by her loving Spouse: William (Bill) Odell Grottie and Son-in-law: Roger Dale Parrish.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 2:00 pm, March 29, 2025 at Ganado Protestant Cemetery, Ganado, Texas.
