The Hixons were our neighbors for many years in Houston and in spite of the boys being older than me, I do believe I was Precious Margaret's first babysitter! She is my sister Carrie Burke Grave's age and I would often do 'double duty' and babysit both at Margaret's home on Creekwood! What memories of beautiful, vivacious, adventuresome Mrs.hixon! She would often be the one walking me home at night as Mr Hixon went to sleep!!! Then she would wait up for her boys! She was a true nurse and an intrepid adventurer! Hope she is renewing her friendship with Puddin and Eddie in Heaven! Loved you Mrs. hixon, your smile and laugh truly brightened the world! Mrs. Hixon was my Coach at St. John's. She taught me about life as well as sports. I am pleased that I was a part of her life experience.
