Frances Elizabeth Malcolm Little(Betty) went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2017. She was born on September 06, 1927 in Ballymacash, N. Ireland, the eighth of the nine children born to John and Eva Briggs Malcolm. She attended the Ballymacash School and after graduation worked in the nearby town of Lisburn where she met Howard Little, an American airman stationed in N. Ireland during World War II. They were married on June 11, 1945, and in 1946 with the war over, she moved with her husband to Texas, and began a new life in America. Howard and Betty were married 48 years, until his death in 1993.
She is survived by their four children and spouses, Carol and Ron Brown, John and Karen Little, Paul and Erin Little, and Mary and Tracy Freeman; grandchildren, Stephen Brown (Jennifer), Sarah Brown Campbell (Jay), Tara Little Tignor (Archie), Brian Little (Gretchen), Kristen Little, Austin Little, Benjamin Kimbell, Caroline Kimbell, Luke Kimbell, Matthew Freeman, and Michael Freeman; and twelve great-grandchildren, all of whom will dearly miss her.
Betty knew Christ as her Savior, and spent her active years in service to Him and to others in her church, First Colony Bible Chapel. Her special gift was hospitality. She enjoyed having visitors in her home, guests around her table, and lively conversation. Her welcome was always warm and genuine.
In her later years, with failing eyesight and increasing mobility problems, she lived at the Atria in Sugar Land, where she made many new friends among the other residents and staff members. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service to honor Betty will be held at First Colony Bible Chapel located at 3610 Austin Pkwy, Sugar Land, TX 77479 on Thursday, December 28th, from 7:00pm to 8:00 pm.
Memorial Gifts may be sent to:
