Frances was a graduate of Jeff Davis High School. After 33 years of service, Frances retired from Aldine ISD. She was an avid dancer, traveler and matriarch of her family which was the most treasured part of her life.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Meder, son Jeffrey Kirsch and grandson Joseph Kirsch as well as siblings Geraldine Guelder, Nena Whitsitt, Johnny Masala and Betty Boothe.
She is survived by her sister Freddie Greene (Lynn) and her children Cyndy Covens, George Kirsch, Jr. (Cindy) and Gregory Kirsch (Kathy); stepchildren Rob Meder (Leigh), Karen Smith and Nancy Bryant (Wayne); grandchildren Jacob, Rex and Adam Covens; Sarah Barnes, Kristin Kennedy, Frances Brittany Kirsch, Kasi Jameson, Callie Hanson, Ashley Meder Sydney Bryant, Dylan Bryant, Zachary Smith, Scott Smith, Jason Hoffman, 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on September 8, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on September 9, 2023 also at Brookside Funeral Home.
