Frances Yvonne Young passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019. She was born In Gary, TX on July 17, 1925 to Homer and Ruth Harrison. The family moved to the Snyder, TX area when she was a young child.
During WWII Frances was employed as a weather observer by the U.S. Weather Service in Abilene, TX. While in Abilene she met and married her husband Charles S Young. Later she worked for Amaco for 32 years in Houston, TX, retiring in 1984. Frances was a life-long Baptist and had been a member of Westbury Baptist Church for many years. Her brightest joys in life called her mother and grandma.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, father, mother, and sister Wanda Goodlett. She is survived by her daughter Sylvia Fuentes and her husband Francisco; grandsons Michael Fuentes and wife Whitney, David Fuentes and wife Carli, Robert Fuentes and wife Heather; and eight great-grandchildren.
She will have a private graveside service at Forest Park Westheimer, 12800 Westheimer. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Campus Crusade for Christ, P.O. Box 628222, Orlando, FL, 32862.
