Francisco was born in Matamoros, Mexico on December 2nd, 1945 to the late Leopoldo and Aurelia Tovar. He married Margarita Villalobos on June 17th and they were married for 47 wonderful years.
Francisco was a truly selfless soul. If he wasn’t helping someone do an odd job, fixing their car or indulging his lovely wife in a home renovation, he was busy telling a joke to make you smile. Francisco lived to make others happy. He enjoyed doing woodwork, watching soccer and baseball and spending time with his grandkids.
Francisco is survived by his wife, Margarita Tovar; children Juanita Tovar, Alma Tanaka and husband Carlos Tanaka, Francisco Tovar Jr.; siblings Ezequiel and Gertrudis Tovar, Luisa Vela; grandchildren Anthony and Abram Edwards, Emma and Brandon Tanaka.
Francisco is preceded in death by his parents Leopoldo and Aurelia Tovar; brothers Eulogio, Arnulfo and Felipe Tovar; sisters Maria de Jesus Vasquez, Amparo Torres and Candelaria Tovar.
A visitation for Francisco will be held on Monday, July 29th from 5pm to 8pm at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. Burial service will occur on Tuesday, July 30th at 10:30am at Brookside Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers are Francisco Tovar Jr., Reynaldo Moreno, Anthony Edwards, Abram Edwards, Carlos Tanaka, Eduardo Tovar, Ramiro Garcia and Cruz Muñoz.
