Frankie Lee Schumacher Lawson

Frankie Lee Lawson died peacefully at home on September 2, 2011. Born February 15, 1916 at Pattison, Texas to Otto & Annie Schumacher, Frankie Lee most enjoyed the years she and her husband Leland spent as square and round dance instructors, the friends they made during those years and the opportunities to travel around the state to the various dance festivals. She was an accomplished seamstress, and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and in later years, quilting with the ladies at Gethsemane Lutheran Church where she and Leland were long-time members.

She is predeceased by her husband of 73 years, her parents and three sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Ruanne Kuhlmann & husband David; Sharon Gersch & husband James, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and sisters-in-law Dee LaVergne and Frances Lawson. The family would like to thank their 4 angels for their loving care to our mother: Ella Davis, Sybil Rogers, Nicky Dorsey, & Mary Chachere.

A Memorial Service will be held at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 4040 Watonga Blvd., Houston, Texas 77092 on Wednesday, September 7. The service will be at 10:00 AM with Rev. John Cain officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
