

He was born on November 24, 1939 in Tyler, Texas. He grew up in Pasadena, Texas.
He served in the Navy from 1959-1963 and was stationed in San Diego on the USS Oriskany.
He loved watching NASCAR and PGA Golf, and was a season ticket holder for the Houston Texans.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Tolar; mother, Nola Clyde Tolar; father, Paul Limon (PL) Tolar; and brother, Robert Berl Tolar. He is survived by his son Glynne Tolar and daughter Rayna Sonsel; granddaughters, Bailey Fleming and Meagan Sonsel. He is also survived by his brothers George Tolar and wife Denna, Charles Tolar and wife Bettie, Michael Tolar, Terry Tolar and wife Celeste, Jimmy Tolar, Randy Tolar and wife Jean; his sisters Paula Bray, Charlotte Costolow and husband Jeff, and Dee Owens and husband John, and many nieces, nephews, and other family relatives.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Forest Park East Funeral Home & Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, Texas. Fellowship to follow at South Main Baptist Church, 4300 E Sam Houston Parkway S, Pasadena, Texas 77505.
