Freddie G. Vega, 75, entered into eternal rest on December 27, 2012 and joined those who preceded him: son, Manuel Vega; mother, Ciria Vargas; brother, George Burciaga; sisters: Nancy Mindiola & Sandra Vega. He was an Army veteran, Master Mason & Pipefitter of Local 211; but most of all a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, loyal family member and friend to many. His memories will forever be cherished by his wife of 59 years, Beatrice Vega; children: Linda Verde (Fabian), Connie Vega (Cory McKinney); grandchildren: Susan Salas (John Paul), Roseann Martinez (Robert Bonilla), Carissa Martinez, Matthew & Joseph Verde; great-grandchildren: Dominique, John, Xavier & Elana Salas; brother, Rudy Burciaga; sisters: Annie Garcia (Clemente), Rosie Miller (Charles), Becky Atkinson, Sylvia Roster; numerous nieces, nephews, family members & many friends, who he dearly loved. Visitation will be from 1PM-8PM with a rosary recited at 7PM on Thursday, Jan. 3rd. Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM on Friday, Jan. 4th at Brookside Funeral Home.
