

Scott graduated from Memorial High School in Houston, Texas, in 1968 and attended the University of Houston. A law enforcement officer of 30 years, he served multiple agencies in the State of Texas during his career.
Scott was born and raised by Gordon “Ross” and Ann McKissack, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Georgia Swain McKissack; his daughter, Allison Canales, and her husband Jason; his son, Gordon “Scott” McKissack, Jr., and his wife, Haley; and his three grandchildren, Madison, Ryal, and Charlee. He is also survived by his sister, Cindy Weaver; his sister-in-law, Cynthia Urquhart, and his nephew, Charlie Urquhart and his family. He was preceded in death by Duke, the dog.
Scott loved his dog, Shadow. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He loved the time he spent in West Texas hunting and fishing. Moving away from Houston to Johnson City brought him great happiness and peace.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Memorial Oaks Cemetery at 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas, 77079. The Rev. Lee Romero of The First United Methodist Church of Johnson City will officiate the service.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 10 AM – 12 PM, with a reception following from 12 PM to 1:30 PM. The Funeral Service will take place at 2 PM, with burial to follow.
