

Gary was born on February 5, 1974 in Richmond, Texas to Pascual Meza & Pat Shifflet Meza.
He is preceded in death by grandparents Jesusa Meza & Mauricio Meza, father Pascual Meza, and stepson Jacob Gamino.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving wife Melanie Meza, children Anjelina Virginia Meza and Damian Mauricio Meza, step-children Stevie Moeller, Aiden Moeller, Daniel Moeller, and Jordan Gamino, brothers Keith Meza and wife Donna, Chris Meza and Colette Miesse, Eric Meza and wife Shelly, nephews Gage Meza, Gavin Meza, Cooper Meza, niece Haley Meza, Sisters Patience Meza, Rachael Meza, Megan Meza, Emily Meza, and Mother Pat.
And Numerous relatives, cousins, friends & extended family.
Gary was an avid music lover, he played guitar, drums, and a little piano & sang in several different bands. He was also a chef & had a great love for cooking & insisted that his knives be razor sharp at all times. Gary proudly served in the Army & was stationed in Ft. Leonard wood, Missouri and Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. He was a great father, passionate for his children and stepchildren, was always there and ready to fight for them no matter the case. He was a caring brother, no matter how many fights they had. He was a caring, loving, devoted husband in his marriages’, his wife Melanie was his best friend. He was a supporter of the intersex community and attended all the conventions and lectures he could. He was an animal lover and owned many animals throughout his life and passed this love onto his daughter. He would always stick up for the underdog.
Gary was mostly known for his lasagna by his children and stepchildren. He was known as Mr. Green to his friends due to his unending love for the color green. He only drank Dr.Pepper and he wore it proudly and despised Coke-a-Cola. He loved playing the guitar, his favorite cover was “It’s been awhile” by Staind. When he was young, he loved attending as many concerts as he could, he loved a good mosh. He had a wide variety of music taste from Alice in Chains to The Ramones to ICP. Amongst his interests he had a love for anything related to serial killer documentaries and books. He read many books on Nietzsche and followed his beliefs. He wrote all of his own songs for the many bands he played in and only did covers on occasion. He would constantly give “monster hugs” to his family and friends to show his endless ferocious love.
He will be greatly missed.
Visitation is scheduled for February 10th,2020 at American Heritage Funeral Home from 5pm-8pm Funeral Service will be held on February 11th, 2020 at American Heritage Funeral Home at 11:30 am. George Newton will officiate the ceremony. Interment will take place at Houston National Cemetery with military honors presented.
