

George Ahrens graduated from Jamaica High School and received his high school diploma.
He married Elizabeth Hamel Craig on October 9, 1943.
George Ahrens worked for American General Insurance Co. until his retirement in 1986. He was a devout member of Mims Baptist Church, Conroe, Texas. He also had a passion for music, gardening, and wood crafting.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Elizabeth Ahrens; sister, Marion Branham; brothers, Warren and Charlie Ahrens.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Barbara Harlan, Nancy Holdampf; sons, Kenneth Ahrens, Richard Ahrens, and David Ahrens; grandchildren, Karen La Fon, Laurie Johnson, Jennifer Moses, Chris Ahrens, Robert Holdampf, Randy Holdampf, Kevin Ahrens, Craig Ahrens, and Brian Harlan; Great-grandchildren, Ryder Moses, Gage Moses, Katie Thompson, Grant Johnson, Annie Johnson, Hazel Johnson, Nora Johnson, Brock Ahrens, Bryce Ahrens, Brynn Ahrens, Bentley Ahrens, Bella Ahrens, Brea Ahrens, Bethany Ahrens, Baylee Ahrens, Betty Ahrens, Braden Ahrens, Bradley Ahrens, Brinkley Ahrens, Brooklyn Ahrens, Nick Lopez and Mark Jimenez; Great Great Grandchild, Hudson Ahrens.
A visitation for George will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM with the committal service to follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
