George was born in Monrovia, Liberia to Frank S. Dennis II and Edith C. Montgomery (divorced). George spend his early childhood on Snapper-Hill in Monrovia. George graduated high school as the class Valedictorian. Upon graduation, through the generosity of our cousin Mrs. Enid Summerville-Wordsworth, he received a scholarship from the US based Omega Satellite program to study in United States. George studied in the United States and completed his courses. He then returned to Liberia and worked for the Omega Satellite Station.
George left Liberia due to the Civil War and returned to the United States. He resided in New York for a period of time where our cousin Mrs. Enid Summerville-Wordsworth lives. He also lived in Charlotte, NC and Fayetteville, TN. After living in those states, he settled down in Houston, Texas, where his oldest sister Amanda Dennis-Golakai and brother in-law Sylvanus Golakai live.
On May 14, 2020, he was called home to rest. He is preceded in death by his father Frank Dennis and his two brothers. George is survived by his mother Edith C. Montgomery. Sisters Famatta Fatu Dennis, Amanda Dennis Golakai, Ella B. Dennis, Edna Tete Wilson, Otterlee Darling Collins, Meatta Dennis, and Massa Dennis. Brothers, James Taylor, Alphonso Washington, and Oscar Dennis. He is also survived by a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other relatives and friends.

Lord I ask that you receive our brother George’s spirit into thy kingdom and may his soul rest in peace, in the bosom of Father Abraham, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray,
